WEDC will shine a spotlight on Wisconsin’s biotechnology industry at BIO 2012, housing and registration open

MADISON – The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is leading the effort to highlight Wisconsin’s biotechnology industry at the 2012 BIO International Convention for which housing and registration materials are currently available.

BIO, the largest biotechnology event in the world, will take place in Boston June 18-21 and offers a variety of programming and networking resources.

The WEDC is coordinating the Wisconsin BIO pavilion, which will promote Wisconsin’s strong bioscience industry. Wisconsin’s presence will mark more than a decade of attending BIO and showcasing Wisconsin’s ingenuity. This year, more than 15,000 global industry leaders will have the opportunity to view the innovation happening in Wisconsin.

“We’re leading the way in shining an international spotlight on Wisconsin’s biosciences sector,” said Lisa Johnson, Vice President of the WEDC’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Division. “We are excited to showcase Wisconsin’s scientific community that includes cutting edge commercial entities and our world renowned research institutions.”
