Commonwealth Management receives Brownfield award for Neenah housing complex

MADISON, February 16, 2012 – Governor Scott Walker announced Commonwealth Management Corporation, Fond du Lac will receive a $150,000 award from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) for remediation in construction of an affordable housing complex in Neenah.

The Blight Elimination and Brownfield Redevelopment award will reimburse Commonwealth Management Corporation for infill remediation in the construction of the 68-unit housing complex at 155 North Western Avenue in Neenah.   

The Blight Elimination and Brownfield Redevelopment Program (BEBR) provides funding to assist local governments, businesses and individuals with assessing and remediating the environmental contamination of an abandoned, idle or underused industrial or commercial facility or site.
