International Trade Partners

The Bureau of Export Development calls upon the support and assistance of a network of partner organizations in order to help Wisconsin’s exporters.

The WEDC’s International Development Division collaborates with the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection’s Marketing Bureau to form the Wisconsin International Trade Team.  The team assists exporters of all Wisconsin products and services ranging from animal feeds to processed foods to fabricated metal products to precision scientific instruments.

The WEDC and the Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership (WMEP) formed a strategic partnership to expand the capabilities of the state’s manufacturing firms to succeed in international markets.  The alliance has resulted in the addition of international business consulting services to WMEP’s high-quality, high-impact solutions that deliver top and bottom-line results in lean manufacturing, growth services, quality systems, and supplier development.

Global Partnership Services (GPS) is the name of a program to train local communities, universities, technical colleges, economic development organizations and service organizations in the ABC’s of exporting. They, in turn, can help local companies in their respective areas set course to succeed in international markets.  Northcentral Technical College (NTC) in Wausau became our first official GPS partner in February 2009.  Other partners include:
