Whether you’re looking for customers or distributors in overseas markets, WEDC’s targeted trade ventures will help you build the relationships that will lead to increased international sales.

WEDC is leading six global trade ventures over the next year aimed at helping Wisconsin businesses establish or expand their global reach.

WEDC trade ventures are designed to connect Wisconsin companies with potential buyers, distributors and other partners in key international markets. During the trade trips, participants are scheduled for one-on-one meetings with potential partners in the market that are hand-picked for each company.

Although the program cost varies, in each case it includes market research and one-on-one appointments, in-country transportation including travel to business meetings, the cost of interpreters if they are needed in the market, hotel accommodations for the duration of the program and some group meals. WEDC will arrange appointments for participants, which will allow them to focus on business rather than logistics and scheduling.

“Participating in global trade ventures provides great professional value while offering a greater cultural understanding of the markets you’re seeking to do business with,” said Katy Sinnott, WEDC vice president of international business development. “We invite companies to join us over the next year in visiting one of these leading markets to grow their business.”
