Sturtevant, WI – The Racine County Economic Development Corp is pleased to announce that Grand Appliance and TV will break ground on their new headquarters and distribution center in Sturtevant, WI on Wednesday, July 12 at 3pm. The company’s site is located at 10301 Enterprise Way, Sturtevant (located directly east of Enterprise Business Park at the southeast corner of West Rd and Enterprise Drive).

“Southeast Wisconsin provides an ideal location that supports Grand Appliance and TV’s growth plans,” remarked Mark Reckling, President, Grand Appliance and TV. “We are grateful to the Village of Sturtevant, Racine County, WEDC and RCEDC for their combined efforts to support this project.”

The company announced in March 2017 that it would be relocating its headquarters from Zion, IL and consolidating its Zion, IL and New Berlin, WI warehouses to the Village of Sturtevant.

Grand Appliance’s new 137,000 SF facility will provide the company needed space to meet the growing demand for its products and better service its retail locations. The nearly $8 million construction project is expected to result in 120 jobs being relocated to the site and 22 new jobs to be created over three years.

“We are pleased to celebrate this milestone with Grand Appliance and TV. We welcome them to Sturtevant and know they will benefit from Sturtevant’s ideal location in Racine County,” Village President Jayme Hoffman stated.

“Grand Appliance joins the growing list of distribution companies, including West Logistics and UNFI, choosing Racine County for its strategic location and workforce advantages,” notes Jonathan Delagrave, Racine County Executive. “This project is just another example of our commitment to partnering with local governments and the State of Wisconsin to welcome new companies seeking a location in the Chicago-Milwaukee Corridor.”

To help secure the company’s investment in the state, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) has authorized Grand Appliance and TV to receive up to $500,000 in tax credits over the next three years. The amount of credits the company will earn is contingent upon the number of jobs created and the level of capital investment made by the company during that time.

“On behalf of the state, I thank Grand Appliance and TV for making the commitment to Wisconsin, and I congratulate the company on the groundbreaking of its new Racine County facility,” said Mark R. Hogan, secretary and CEO of WEDC. “Grand Appliance and TV is among the growing number of companies establishing or expanding operations in Wisconsin because of the state’s pro-business climate, talented workforce and reliable infrastructure.”
