The details of best practices for the COVID-19 response continue to evolve as we learn more about the virus and how it spreads. With weekly livestreams from Secretary and CEO Missy Hughes, WEDC is doing its best to bring Wisconsin’s business community the guidance they need to keep employees and customers safe while sustaining their operations to the extent possible during this global health crisis.
The livestream for Monday, May 11 gives an overview of WEDC’s role and the resources made available so far to help businesses weather the pandemic. Secretary Hughes also explains the criteria the state is using to evaluate when businesses may reopen, and speaks about the set of guidelines WEDC has created—with input from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services; the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection; and the Department of Tourism—to provide guidance on how public health advice applies to businesses of various types.
Secretary Hughes is offering weekly livestreams on Mondays at 11 a.m., and is taking questions from viewers who are able to watch live and post a comment. Access future livestreams on the Focus Forward homepage.
