PROMOTING THE PROGRAM
Thank you for partnering with WEDC to raise awareness of the Global Business Development Program’s International Market Access Grant (IMAG).
Having a solid export strategy in place can help companies position themselves for long-term, stable growth. Compared to companies that only sell domestically, companies that export are more productive and more innovative; they grow faster and are protected from risk, since economic trends in one market may not apply to other markets. WEDC connects companies with the programs and resources they need to create and implement a sound strategy for export growth.
Below, you’ll find a range of marketing resources to help you bring the benefit of the IMAG grant to businesses in your area and partners in your network.

Apply now for an International Market Access Grant
Applications are now available! We are excited to announce a new round of funding for the International Market Access Grant (IMAG), which provides grants of up to $25,000 to help your company expand its international reach.
If your company plans to apply for a grant, we want to encourage you to apply sooner rather than later to give you more time for your project and to ensure the availability of funds. Applications are reviewed as they are received, so companies that apply early in the grant cycle may be able to begin their grant projects earlier.
Your company can use the grant funds to cover export growth expenses including:
- Trade show attendance
- Marketing and promotion
- Export education
- Consulting services
To apply, a company must be in operation in Wisconsin for at least one year and must manufacture, process, assemble or distribute a product or service with the potential to be exported. Grants are available to companies that are new to exporting as well as those with some export experience. Wisconsin cost inputs must make up at least 35% of the value of the product or service being exported, and companies must agree to a 30% match of the grant funds received. Companies that have completed the ExporTech™ Program can apply for up to $25,000 in IMAG funding; companies that have not completed ExporTech can apply for up to $10,000.
Please note that our application deadline has changed. All applications must be submitted through the Network Wisconsin portal by October 31, 2023 to be considered.
