China and South Korea Offer Exciting Trade Opportunities

With a combined population of almost 1.4 billion people, China and South Korea offer a host of opportunities for Wisconsin exporters. China is the state’s largest international trade partner, with export potential highest in water technology, medical equipment, electrical machinery and clean energy, among others.

Companies can find growth opportunities in South Korea in electrical machinery and factory automation, medical equipment, food processing, agricultural products and more.

Wisconsin companies interested in trade with China and South Korea will have the chance to meet with representatives from the two countries during an upcoming trade mission in September.

Learn how a previous trade mission to this region helped Madison-based TrafficCast secure a key partnership with the city of Shanghai.

IN-COUNTRY PERSPECTIVE

How to Navigate the Chinese and South Korean Marketplaces

As the fourteenth-largest economy in the world—projected to continue growing exponentially—South Korea offers abundant exporting opportunities for Wisconsin businesses.

In addition, China is the state’s largest trading partner outside of North America, and holds a promising outlook for future exports to the country.
