Expanding to deliver more health solutions
Catalent Pharma Solutions, a leading global provider of drug delivery technologies and development solutions for drugs, biologics and consumer health products, recently announced plans for a $34 million expansion of its Madison facility, and ultimately plans to double the size of the company’s workforce in the city. The project, which will add more than 100 jobs, features a 22,000-square-foot expansion to the company’s existing facility to increase manufacturing, laboratory and administrative space. To support the expansion, WEDC awarded Catalent up to $1 million in performance-based tax credits over a three-year period.
A prolific developer of drugs and delivery technologies
Catalent’s oral, injectable and respiratory delivery technologies address the full diversity of the pharmaceutical industry. Through its extensive capabilities and expertise in product development, the company helps its customers take products to market faster, including nearly half of the new drug products approved by the Food and Drug Administration in the last decade. Headquartered in New Jersey, Catalent employs 9,200 people, including more than 1,400 scientists, at more than 30 facilities across five continents, and in fiscal 2016 generated $1.85 billion in annual revenue.
