Packaging company crosses border
Illinois-based Colbert Packaging Corp. recently announced plans to relocate its flexographic packaging operation and related warehousing services from northern Illinois to Kenosha. Colbert selected the Kenosha site due to its proximity to the Interstate and major transportation hubs. The project is expected to bring more than 100 new jobs to the state. To help attract Colbert to Wisconsin, WEDC has authorized the company to receive up to $850,000 in performance-based state tax credits over a three-year period. Kenosha County also provided $250,000 from its High Impact Fund to support the project.
