Strong support for a major expansion
Direct Supply, the nation’s leading supplier of equipment and service solutions to senior-living communities, recently announced a major expansion of its global headquarters in Milwaukee. Expected to create more than 800 jobs over the next seven years, the expansion was supported by WEDC’s Enterprise Zone Tax Credit Program, which will give the company up to $22.5 million in performance-based tax credits through 2023. The City of Milwaukee has also been extensively involved in the project by providing real estate, zoning, and tax incremental direct support. To accommodate the expansion, the city agreed to vacate a street and committed to relocate a large public works yard.
Equipment and services for senior living communities
Direct Supply began as the nation’s first virtual distributor in Milwaukee in 1985. The company is employee-owned and its mission is to enhance the lives of America’s seniors through its commitment to senior living.
