Major expansion plans take shape in Wisconsin
Milwaukee Tool Corp., an industry-leading manufacturer and marketer of heavy-duty, portable electric power tools and accessories for professional users worldwide, recently announced plans to embark on a 200,000-square-foot expansion of its headquarters. The project is expected to create nearly 600 jobs in the next five years, making the company the largest employer in Brookfield. Through WEDC’s Enterprise Zone Tax Credit Program, Milwaukee Tool will earn up to $18 million in performance-based state income tax credits over the next six years. The economic development effort was a collaboration between WEDC, the City of Brookfield and Milwaukee 7.
