AIQ Solutions aims to improve treatment for advanced cancer patients

AIQ Solutions logoIt can be difficult to determine whether cancer treatment is working, since late-stage cancer patients often develop more than one form of the disease as the cancer spreads. Madison-based AIQ Solutions, founded in 2015 based on discoveries by University of Wisconsin researchers, uses radiologic images to provide what is essentially personalized medicine for cancer, helping oncologists pinpoint which cancers are responding to treatment. Currently in use with pilot projects in hospitals in the U.S. and Australia, the technology has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for use in monitoring several specific types of cancer.
