Kwik Trip’s La Crosse campus continues to expand
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Kwik Trip is continuing to expand development and staffing of its food production and support campus in La Crosse, a project that has earned an additional $5 million in performance-based tax incentives from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) .

Wisconsin restaurants, bars, bakeries, food trucks, breweries, wineries, distilleries and inns that prepare and serve food or beverages can now apply for funding equal to what was lost in the pandemic up to $10 million per business. The federal Small Business Administration’s Restaurant Revitalization Fund recipients do not have to repay the funding as long as it is used for eligible purposes by March 11, 2023.

Eau Claire County launching Starlink Broadband Access Initiative
An Eau Claire County pilot program will test the viability of SpaceX Starlink satellites to expand high-speed internet access in rural areas. The $87,500 initiative will pay for equipment and a year's worth of service fees for 50 households.
Governor Evers, WEDC announce pilot program to test SpaceX internet service in Eau Claire County
Governor Tony Evers announced today that the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is assisting Eau Claire County in launching a pilot program to test SpaceX’s Starlink, a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites that can provide high-speed internet in rural areas where broadband is limited or not available.
